Combining diverse backgrounds
The GIC employs more than 110 scientists and engineers, coming from over 15 different renowned universities from around the globe, with over 35 percent holding a PhD degree in various fields such as Food Science, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Nutrition and Chemistry. A significant share of our scientists and engineers are dedicated to developing the various Alternative Protein solutions.
Thai Union believes this unique combination of various backgrounds, interests, ages, genders, and ethnicities yields powerful and forward-thinking approaches and propels our success. The GIC's state-of-the-art facilities include laboratories for product and technology development and a pilot plant, which are both fully equipped for multidisciplinary research in a well-controlled environment.
